The luminaries who built RAEA from the ground up
Shri Anil Bordia
Mr Anil Bordia, the former Secretary of Education, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India who also served as the Director of Primary and Secondary Education in Rajasthan, was the founder of this organisation. He is no more with us but his guiding and inspiring spirit walks with us every day. He is always fondly remembered.
We organise the Shri Anil Bordia Memorial Lecture every year. The First Memorial Lecture was delivered by Smt Aruna Roy, Second by Dr Gopal Krishan Gandhi (former Governor of West Bengal), Third by Dr Krishan Kumar (former Director of NCERT), Fourth by Shri Sharad Chandra Behar (former Chief Secretary of MP), and the Fifth by Mr Madhav Chavan, CEO, Pratham.
Other Founding Members
Justice BP Beri was the Founder President of RAEA. Shri Lalit Kishore Lohmi, the eminent educationist of Rajasthan, was the Founder Secretary of RAEA. Shri Vishnu Dutt Sharma, Former Home Secretary of Govt. of Rajasthan, joined RAEA as Second President after Justice Beri. Miss Krishna Terve, Principal of Kanodia College, and Shri Kalyan Jaisani of Rajasthan Vidhyapeeth, Udaipur, Shri R.S. Kumat and Shri Tej Karan Dandia were also associated as our founder office bearers.
Other stalwarts and dignitaries associated with RAEA were Dr. Mohan Singh Mehta (Former High Commissioner of India in Pakistan and Founder Vice Chancellor of University of Rajasthan), Dr. Jagan Nath Singh Mehta, Shri Sadashiv Ram Sharma, Shri S.N. Rao, Shri Ajit Kumar Jain, Bhai Bhawan, Shri Shubhu Patva, Dr. Chhagan Mohta from Bikaner, the humanist philosopher and an eminent interprettor of various philosophical texts and also a critic of contemporary creative literary works Shri M L Mehta, Smt. Kanta Marwah, Dr. M.K. Marwah, Shri Rajendra Bhanawat, Shri Om Srivastav, Shri Sushil Kumar Dashora, Shri Kishore Saint and Shri Nand Kishore Acharya were also part of this organisation. .
With the blessings of these luminaries the institution had a humble, simple but majestic take-off in 1973.
